I'm in a "throw out the bums" mood myself.

I would be quite willing to vote all my republican guys out if I could be assured those who vote for democrats would vote against all their guys.

I just heard some things about a local political situation that explains it all when it comes to politicians. A city in the state was looking to do some upgrade to one of their infrastructures. The bill came in at $2million. A couple of active citizens found out the Engineer fee's were $800,000 of that. When that became clear the Engineer was willing to cut it way down.

First off, why the hell would you let him even bid again if he tried to sneak that by you?

Next they tried to sell the idea that it wouldn't cost the citizens that much because they could get 80% of it paid by the state or the fed under some program. Free money. No one stops to think, no someone paid taxes to fund that program it isn't FREE money.

So go ahead and waste the money, get nailed by contractors, who cares, it's free money.

It drives me nuts when someone points out in a bill there is $300 million for the study of the mating habits of the swamp frog. The comeback is, it is only 300 million out of a 100 billion package, who cares?

Politicians are out of control and getting worse because it is free money they are raising either by borrowing or taxing.
