Much like America with Trump or other political leaders, Putin is far more Russian than an anomaly. When he dies-Russia will continue to be Russia.

If Putin wanted to put rumors to rest, he'd have made some sort of public announcement already. So I'm leaning to believing the rumors. We'll see how serious it was soon enough if/when they either announce his death or eventually he recovers and makes a public appearance.

Not getting my hopes up. I'd love to be pleasantly surprised though.
