Strange shooting by ranger outside

Because it's so easy to detain and cuff a grown man who isn't complying. I'm not saying the shooting was justified because I haven't seen the video or know any background information, but most of the comments by "Robbie" were kind of silly.“Why don’t they just cuff him and be done with it?” one of the men in the video asks. “They keep letting him get up and run away.”

Sounds like they shot a guy who got inside a patrol car and was grabbing for a gun. If ever there were a justified police shooting, this sounds like the dictionary definition.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostBecause it's so easy to detain and cuff a grown man who isn't complying. Watch the video. It is strange and it appears with the numbers of guys they should have been able to subdue him without killing him.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostSounds like they shot a guy who got inside a patrol car and was grabbing for a gun. They stated there is a gun inside and they feared he might reach for the gun. It was a bizarre event. In Nevada though, cops get a free ride mostly."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Video isn't loading for me here so I'll try to find it later. How many police were trying to subdue him? Have you ever tried to subdue a grown man who was hell bent on getting free? It's not easy. If he has even slightly above average strength it can be quite a struggle. Didn't the article say they tazed him and he ripped the wires out? That's a sure sign the take down is not going to be easy.Originally posted by Topper View PostWatch the video. You say it appears they should have been able to subdue him. Do you think they were letting him go intentionally? If so, to what end?Originally posted by Topper View PostWatch the video. Were they hoping he might get to the patrol car, climb inside and lock the doors with a gun inside, so they could shoot him?I'm like LeBron James.

I count four to five. He really isn't hell-bent and they had him on the ground at one point.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostVideo isn't loading for me here so I'll try to find it later. They should have subdued him while he was on the ground. Watch it and you'll see what I mean. Again, we can't hear the interaction, but there is no way they should have allowed him to gain access to their vehicles. I forget how pro-police people are around here.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostYou say it appears they should have been able to subdue him. IMO, if there are "pro-police" folks here, they are in the minority. I'm pretty sure we have a thread on here dedicated to police brutality, but none dedicated to police heroics.Originally posted by Topper View PostThey should have subdued him while he was on the ground. There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

This seems like an unnecessary shooting. The cop who left his doors open with loaded weapons inside played a large part in that man's death. I do not see why that men police officers couldn't have subdued that man."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action.
