The funny thing about the Trinity river is they have been talking about building a billion dollar toll road and some new running park down that... (note where the east levee is)

If it was built before this spring it would be all under water now.

They already take Vegas piss water - I pee in the lake all the time!

Looked like a good choice back in 2011. Now? I'm surprised you can find them under the water.

No mandatory cutbacks for California? They really do own Lake Mead.

I hope you poor saps in Utah and Colorado aren't collecting your own rainwater. You can get in big trouble for that and it's at a point where people may start to care.

Thanks, but no thanks. The Trinity is east of here anyway.

The San Jacinto (near me) has been above flood stage for over a week now and it's still climbing. Thankfully my neighborhood is on literally the highest ground in Houston and is in no danger. But people are having issues getting around town with some frequency now.

Well, it is too bad we can't send Cali some of our water. The Trinity River is about to run over the levees...

I guess we will send it down to Houston instead.

It does bother me to say this because of the really good people on this board who live in California. I also have some great fraternity brothers living there.

Just the same my initial nasty response to California's drought is I would be OK if they dried up and blew away. Policies have consequences.

Is Cali getting any of that rain or is Utah taking it all?
