Of course you know what's going to happen. Trump will fire Sessions and put Hatch in as AG!

That would be interesting. A few months ago when Trump was making his slams on Sessions he stopped when several Republicans in the Senate told him to knock it off and that they would refuse to confirm someone else if Sessions got fired. Who knows what the sentiment would be it happened today, although I don't sense that the Senate is any less supportive of Sessions now.

Yeah, I was wondering about the quote in the article that creek posted...

He says "I may be leaving the Senate, but the next chapter in my public service is just beginning."

He'd replace a guy who faced deservedly more accusations of carpetbagging (born and raised in PA, Pitt law school, and practiced law in PA) when he ran in '76, defeating three-term incumbent Frank Moss on a platform that insisted on term limits for Senators. Apparently the limit he had in mind was seven terms. Romney has certainly done more for Utah than Hatch had done at the time he ran.

It would be really hard to get worse than Sessions, but that might do it.

I was kidding about Hatch becoming AG. But if it happens, you heard it here first!

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

if a politician runs on the platform of limited terms, the public has every right to call out the hypocrisy when they go for 7.

For once I'd love to see a candidate for Senate or House to be honest about the fact they're running for the last paid job they ever plan to have.

He was student body president for the a summer so that should probably count as holding high office within the state.
