I don't consider myself a wonk, but I agree with the article. It seems to me that there is a core ideology for both parties but after that reasoning can take just about any policy back to either core ideology. Parties are more interested in election victories so their role is to mobilize enough demographies to win while doing the mobilization in a manner that alienates as few other demographies as possible. The power of tribalism makes that all so possible and interesting.Originally posted by Sleeping in EQ View PostDo Your Damnedest In An Ostentatious Manner All The Time!

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

I, too, agree in general with the article. It's a lot easier to find a way to agree with a political party position than to carefully consider all the issues and come to an independent position."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"
