Fifteen people on their way to a wedding in Yemen were killed in an air strike after their party was mistaken for an al Qaeda convoy, local security officials said on Thursday.
The officials did not identify the plane in the strike in central al-Bayda province, but tribal and local media sources said that it was a drone.

This is a pretty cool discovery, but my geneticist friends tell me that it's mostly just a new way of testing something that has been strongly suspected (to the point that it's been taught in intro genetics classes) for a long time. Still seems like a nice contribution though. Certainly there has been a lot of attention paid to gene expression lately. The "blueprint" metaphor hasn't been useful for some time, and now it seems downright naive.
The peace prize happens to share a name with the real ones, but it's really not even related. I wish they would stop giving those out. It's a blight on the reputation of the real ones, and it's long been obvious that they're given out to encourage peace, not to reward those who have actually done anything about it. In the case of Obama it seems like they were just assuming he'd be that much more peaceful than Bush and wanted to latch onto him. Meanwhile, it seems he just presided over 15 more innocent deaths via drone strike in Yemen. (Oops Uncle Ted beat me to this one)Originally posted by myboynoah View PostComment
