I thought this was a big time subject, Prop. 8. Why am I the only one commenting on my post. Did I really do that bad of a job bringing up the subject?

The reason you are getting no response, is because all the gay apologists just lost a battle, big time: 6-1 and they have nothing to say. I'm with you, my faith in the legal system has been restored .... a bit.

To me the fact the judges upheld it 6-1 is out of the realm of boredom. Of course that is just me and the fact I hold judges in such low regard. It is nice to find I may have been overly harsh on them. Makes me feel good.

I actually did read the article on it this morning and found it interesting. However, not much more you can say about it other than "good" or "dang."

Yeah, I'm sure the gays are walking about saying 'dang' and letting the law stand as passed. My guess is that they will be driving around harassing Prop 8 proponents. They are a bunch of peace-loving folks, ya know.

There will just be another ballot measure in 2010, then in 2012. It will keep going until it is changed. The demographics are on the side of the No on 8 people. I don't think the Church has the fortitude for another fight, but that may depend on who the prophet is at that time.

You may be right, however if they handle it poorly they may just piss people off. I have a friend who is not LDS and lives in California. He and I have discussed it and feel the same way.

Both of us would have and he did vote yes. However, it wasn't an a yes vote with the idea if the no's won, they won. That is how things are done. However, with all the TV coverage and calling people who voted yes names and demonizing them as haters and bigots, we both now feel differently.

Next time around we won't have quite such a lay back attititude. Next time around I will give them money for the Yes side.

I was more referring to the CUF clientele. This really isn't the end of anything as we all know, which is why I don't think a discussion on the subject would be terribly productive.
