  • Our kids are going to be the most fragile kids in history

The US postal service will destroy stamps that reflect Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign because the depictions on the stamps are unsafe.

What, you may ask, are the stamps so dangerously depicting? Such awfully dangerous things like doing a headstand without a helmet, riding a skateboard (I thought for sure it was going to say without a helmet and I would have thought that was stupid but could see why some would disagree) without knee pads, and doing <gasp> a cannonball.

Holy crap kids in society are going to suck and it is going to our fault.

I am not surprised that Michelle Obama wants our kids to do unsafe things. What happened to the good old days of "Just say no!" and promoting literacy?
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

speak for your own kids. I make mine walk uphill to school in the snow both ways. They'll be tough.

Problem is, they will still be treated like pansies when they get to school. Not saying you can't toughen them up when they get home, its just you will have to work harder at doing so.

Just read that a school in New York has forbidden sports/recess on school grounds becuse "Kids are getting hurt" whats wrong with kids getting hurt? I was hurt 3-4 times a day in Elementary school.
( FYI I most likely wrote that incoherently and will be properly corrected forthwith. Thanks)

Kids wouldn't know that they're getting hurt if the adult wusses in their lives didn't tell them they were getting hurt.

Yeah I have heard some schools have banned "balls" of any kind, even the rubber playground balls, basketballs, volleyballs, etc. It's just too dangerous.

Let's just all calm down and settle this with a "tug-of-peace".

In this game, the counterbalance support that players provide to one another is a graphic representation of mutual support and cooperation. It’s a totally different experience than Tug-of-War, which can be a painful exercise that activates aggression and leaves players in the dirt.

One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

Harder? That makes it all the more fun!

Now if it weren't for nosy neighbors and that damned CPS, we'd have it made.

Close the doors, pull the blinds and soundproof the house. Problem solved.

I was thinking about getting that pit thing that the psycho in Silence of the Lambs had. That should do the trick.
