  • Mink released in Burley Idaho

Animal Liberation Front a few people broke into mink farm and released mink into wild. They think they are hero's. Thing is those mink will eat pets and don't know how to eat and drink and survive in wild. ALF is more concerned about animals than people and criticize overpopulation but have false zeal for animals. On FAQ page say mink do better in wild and the farmers are murderers.

Same with blog at www.magicvalley.com go to comments section about mink and some of the people rail on farmers and justify there "activism". One thing is we have a right in America to know were our food comes from people do. Is it that hard to find out were our food comes from in America? And do people have a right to enter a farm for any reason. That is called trespassing.

A high school kid joins ffa will find out the process of were food comes from. People won't be vegetarians if they see the process of foods and I would buy a mink coat just to tick off the animal rights junkies.

What happened to the good ole days when these "terrorist" threw paint on people wearing mink coats?

If there were no market for mink coats there wouldn't be mink farmers. Of course, destroying minks coats may only add to the demand.

That's PETA type stuff. Grape is talking about the ALF.

Yeah, I get confused on which group is taking credit for this. In any case, I still argue if there wasn't any demand then there wouldn't be mink farmers. Or at least I and grape could get matching mink coats cheap.

Anyway, liberating minks doesn't seem like a smart way to protest this. I think I read that 90% of the minks that were freed were recovered a short time later. In addition, I am sure the owners have stepped up their security and someone most likely would be shot if it was tried again. If the folks behind PETA/ALF were smart they would "attack" the consumers of mink and kill the market. Maybe they could promote domesticated minks as pets to the rich and famous. I have read that minks are smarter than cats and like to take baths. Therefore, it seems we may have it backwards. Cats should be bred and made into fur coats. Minks should be tamed and made into pets.

That reminds me of a Lady I knew in Florida that bought Anti LDS literature so other people wouldn't get a hold of it. Problem with that though is it gives more money to there cause and Anti LDS literature will not hinder the work of the Lord.

About 90 percent were recaptured, Though what really hurt was the breeding records so they don't know who to breed to whom. On the ALF website and magazine it also said by hiring security they may go bankrupt. Excuse me don't taxes pay for security? And shouldn't the ALF people pay for security for what they did. I really loved hearing about protesters that said this is fur free Friday the day after Thanksgiving don't buy any fur thing. Days like that I want to go down and buy many a fur coat only to urinate the Peta ALF types off. Besides were in the Constitution is the right to be heard?
