I just got my renewal statement and my premium increased by $90. Looks like they are at least trying to get some of that back through increased premiums, which I know is not the liberal's preferred method of abasing the issue at hand."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

They could start by starting a three-strikes policy. If your home floods 3 times in 50 years, or twice in 10, if you have insurance, they buy it and don't allow people to build there anymore. If the homeowner refuses, then there will be no future insurance written."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.
The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon

I can't tell you how many news interviews I've seen from Northern California were somebody says something like:
"We were flooded out in 1989 and we rebuilt. Then the same thing happened in 2003. So we rebuilt again. Now, it's happened yet again. But we're tough, we've done this before. We'll just rebuild again. We love it here and we're not leaving."
It gets really silly after a while."I'm going to go back to CUF now, where the censorship is less, the average IQ is higher, and we don't have to deal with so much of this nonsense. Goodbye." - SoonerCoug

Those kind of people have always drove me nuts. It reminds of a much less drastic scenario. It bothers me when people who live in the foothills complain about the deer eating their bushes.Originally posted by The Fourth Nephite View PostI can't tell you how many news interviews I've seen from Northern California were somebody says something like:
