  • May 2013 - another black hole in my historical database.

So what has happened in the month of May 2013? I've been incarcerated for the past 38 days and just got paroled.

In the world? On Cougarstadium? In the world of BYU sports?

I'd rather not re-live it. It involved Ft. Rucker, Alabama and evil men in black hats.

Let's see... BYU joined the Big 14, Jabari Parker jumped to the NBA, and Indy got a sex change operation. That's about it.

Welcome back to the outside. Regarding BYU sports, the men's volleyball team lost the NCAA championship game to UC Irvine. The men's rugby team defeated Cal this year to take the championship (Varsity Cup?).

                Indy's a guy now?

I don't know diddly nor Diddley, but I'm curious if you don't want to talk about you time on the green mile, why did you....well, talk about it?

Speaking of databases, there's an online database system that I have to use at work every day. It used to time out after about ten minutes. Now I think it's timing out after five minutes. This is, of course, a strategy they use to manage the allocation of online network resources.

Can I tell you how frustrating it is to have to log back in every time it takes longer than five minutes to evaluate a particular set of data? Thanks for listening. Just wanted to vent.

Is that because you are using the free version and they want to encourage you to sign up for the paid version?

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

No, it's something used Army-wide. We've been using this program since about 2003 or so. The Army is part-way through transitioning to a completely different program, so I'll have a whole new set of gripes, no doubt.

Okay, so it is a government managed arrangement. Small wonder.
