The Great Conspiracy: LDS Church Soft on BSA Gay Policy in order to restore Polygamy

I imagine the Church probably would just as soon "go soft on the gay agenda" if nothing else to distance itself from dudes/organizations like this."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

Yet another reason that I proudly allow those people to say I'm not Christian."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

What's sad, for me, is that he really thinks that God wants him to be doing this. It makes me hope that none of my actions can be viewed in a similar light from without."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.
The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon

I wonder how many in the church now, especially leadership are "so" fundamentalistic that they would go back to polygamy?
My guess is very, very few. My guess is as time goes on, leadership will get further and further away from some of the way far out stuff.

Point out to these kinds ofOriginally posted by VirginiaCougar View PostWell, this is interesting. With apologies for the source, one has to wonder why the church attempts to reach out to evangelicals (particularly those more politically active) when this is what you get in return. How do you deal reasonably with these kinds of people?peopledumbasses that "domino" was tested and it didn't fall in Canada. Of course, I am kind of hoping that it will fall in a some nice liberal state so the rest of the FLDS would pick up and move out of West Texas."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

I'm sure it had NOTHING to do with the fact that the LDS church got absolutely slaughtered in the press and by the liberal push to blame prop 8 on someone.
How many people from this dude's church lost their jobs due to their fight on prop 8? How often was his church named in articles and ridiculed for their role?
I don't recall any other churches really being outed by name to any degree remotely close to what the LDS church was. Sure, the Catholics took some heat. But by far, it was LDS folks.
And that's the skeptic in me. The rest of me is hopeful that they gained some understanding as to the issues.

Like I said the first time this was posted, I am just thrilled that we are not aligned with these idiots this time around."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
