Don't get me wrong, it sounds very cool. But the hype seems a bit extreme.
I have seen a lot on this just today. Commercials on tv, ads on nytimes.com. They really put this together pretty quickly. The hyperbole of the marketing was striking to me. On the tv commercial I thought it was interesting that they chose to use an british-accented voice over (I'm assuming it was one of the scientists that appears as a talking head on the actual show but they didn't show a shot of him). This is of-note because this particular british accent is often perceived as very authoritative by American audiences (possibly British audiences too but I'm not sure about that one). I will be interested to see the tone of the actual piece.

The hype is stupid. It has nothing to do with truth, everything to do with money. America worships money now, but money has sent famine, war and pestilence. America deserves it.
