Thanks for the response. Lots of those issues seem California-specific, and as far as I recall, you don't live anywhere near there. As for his desire to run for the WH, well, he's a politician. Trump has been yapping about being President since 1999 (formed an exploratory committee). So that doesn't really seem like a disqualifying trait for you. Am I right about that?

I am not dismissing your opinion. I apologize if I came across that way (not sure why that makes me "elitist"). You are entitled to your opinions on any and all subjects.

At the same time, I am entitled to assign credibility to your opinions as well. It does seem odd that you have such strong opinions about the governor of a state on the other side of the country from where you reside. I am not sure why that is the case. That is my opinion. Perhaps you have some biases (I don't know). Which is why I asked you about those opinions. You are free to ask me about my opinions, if you like.

The real question is. Would you or Newsome over Vance. Since that is likely what we will see in 3-years. Yes. I am optimistic as we are drawing close to one year down and 3 to go. It goes quicker than we all think.

Vance is Trump's chief enabler and encourager. He wouldn't be a lot better in many regards. He is part of that scary Dark Enlightenment crowd.

Vance also seems about on par with Newsome in terms of arrogance. His performance with Zelensky in the Oval Office, was shameful.

I tend to think any politician will change their colors to win. Like any chameleon. I imagine we will see him adjust and this will not only be based on no longer being under Trump but the vibe of the country.

I’m not so sure. He has been bought and paid for by Theil, Sacks, and multiple crypto-bros. He’ll shamelessly follow any path to money and power.

Possibly, however, how is that any different from ANY politician. The difference is in the path of Newsome and Vance. Neither of them is appealing but Vance leans my political beliefs more so than Newsome. So I would go that direction. The question is will he will the middle ground conservatives and independents. He has a good chance.
