    That thing is awesome.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

          Maybe some day...

Amazon’s drone delivery service will also have to comply with the Federal Aviation Administration’s new airspace rules for unmanned aircraft, which the agency is planning to have in place by 2015.

The Federal Aviation Administration has new plans for unmanned aircraft systems, better known as drones.

On Thursday, the administration released its first roadmap [pdf] of efforts to integrate the systems into the national airspace. At the moment, use of unmanned systems for public and research initiatives is permitted by the FAA on a case-by-case basis. Law enforcement agencies and universities have used unmanned aircraft systems in the past for various missions including search-and-rescue and weather research. In September, the first unmanned aircraft authorize for commercial use completed a mission over the Arctic Ocean.

But commercial and private players are eager to get into the world of domestic drone use, and the FAA’s new document, which will be updated annually, outlines the policies, technologies, regulations, and procedures that will be required as the systems are put to more widespread use.

                    Wise decision.

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. Texas A&M plans to develop system safety requirements for UAS vehicles and operations with a goal of protocols and procedures for airworthiness testing. The selection of Texas A&M contributes to geographic and climactic diversity.
Apparently the weather in Ohio is too boring unlike Corpus Christi...

A drone crashes into Cowboys AT&T Stadium...

AT&T Stadium has seen a lot since opening in 2009, but nothing quite like a drone getting lost on its massive roof.

                        It happened over the weekend.

According to an online video posted on YouTube, a Texas man captured footage over the stadium using a second drone to search for the first.

At one point on the video, the man can be heard saying "This wasn't a good day for me ... like a dumb-ass, I let the building get between me and transmitter."

He goes on to say the loss of the controlling radio signal is what caused the device to go down on top of the roof.

There seems to be a lot of confusion between RC and drones. These quadcopters that keep popping up in news are not drones. Just because it has a camera payload does not make it a drone.

Drone is a pretty ambiguous term. The quadcopters you're referring to can be a drone, RPA, MAV and an RC copter all at the same time.

Of course. But these are quadcopters bought off Amazon. Not drones. They have no element of autonomous, pre-programmed flight which is how I define a drone.

Yes, true. Also, if it was a drone it would have most likely blown up Cowboy Stadium to kill the one terrorist that may have been inside, AKA. Jerry Jones.
