South African paralympic star Oscar Pistorius has been charged with murder and is in custody after reportedly shooting his girlfriend dead in the middle of the night after mistaking her for a burglar.
It happened at 4am this morning and the woman may have been killed after a Valentine's Day surprise went tragically wrong at his mansion in Pretoria.
The dead woman is Reeva Steenkamp, 30, a former FHM model who has been dating the 26-year-old for two months.

The article I read in the Washington Post said he may have mistaken her for an intruder.
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

That is what mine said as well.. I can change the title so it doesn't sounds like he did it purposefully.. Not my intent..

What I did find a little alarming was how many times she was shot, but I can see a person in fear pulling the trigger multiple times in such a situation..

I guess he is handi-capable of murder.

That just doesn't sound very likely, I don't think he has a leg to stand on.

I wonder how many legs on the ground there are trying to get to the bottom of this.

Just heard a police woman in South Africa interviewed about the case. She said that she is surprised with the news stories saying that he mistook her for an intruder. She has no idea where that started as they have seen no evidence of that. They had been called to that home/apartment several times recently due to domestic disturbances.

No need to change the thread title.

EDIT: Who changed the thread title? It was not an accident.

Looks to me like Pistorius is claiming he thought she was an intruder, but police are definitely treating it as a murder.

Can we change the title to something more precise, such as "shot and killed GF: unclear whether accident or murder?
