I have actually been thinking this exact same thing. Either candidate has a huge change of being a one-termer. Also, if Hillary is preoccupied with an FBI investigation, maybe she won't screw up as much stuff in those 4 years?

    • So the white nationalist dude making the calls in Utah with the brilliant idea that Utahns would want to vote for Trump if they knew McMullin's mom is gay has been doing this in many other states throughout the campaign. A couple of times Trump told him to stop, but not every time. A couple of times he's said he won't do it anymore but he's a liar obviously. I don't think this same guy was behind all of these cases below however.

      New Hampshire:

      Iowa:
      http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/...call-for-trump

      Wisconsin:
      http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/white-nat...rump-robocalls

Not clear where this writer lives but he says he got a call in early October and recorded it here. This call was obviously meant to be hokey but brings up several white nationalist talking points. The article also mentions additional states that have gotten white nationalist robocalls during the campaign.

My point is, whether Trump can be directly blamed for this kind of crap or not, it's not really debateable that his rhetoric has helped pull these dregs of society out from from under the rocks. And I think whether Trump truly believes the white nationalist dogmas or not, he sure as hell knows what to say to get these guys to think he's one of them.

      I'd rather have Hillary.

Even worse it would negate the off cycle election advantages of picking up more Senate Seats in 2018. In many ways Trump losing is best for the Republican Party. 4 years of the Clintons should help to fire up the base in 2020 to compete in an important Presidential Cycle election that will heavily influence who gets to gerrymander things best for the following 10 years. 4 years of Trump would result in 2020 being like 2008 and that would not be good for Republican control of Statehouses, the USHOR and whatnot.

Exactly. We need to throw this guy in the garbage and rebuild.

If I had to choose, and admittedly I am an optimist, but from my perspective I think this election is working out the best it possibly could - in much the same way as Pac often says: "somebody in Afghanastan has to be the best golfer in the country!" Hillary will win. Even though she is a crook and even liberal partisan hack job pundits have to admit it, but in the end she will have a much more organized get out the vote and I think will outperform the polls. She will win. But she will be deeply wounded. Further, because she is such a crook and a terrible candidate I don't think the Democrats will have the down ballot success I worried they might given that the worst candidate in the history of mankind is the Republican nominee. It appears that the Republicans will likely keep both the Senate and the House and have an extremely unpopular and wounded Democrat in the White House. I can live with that.

Now if the Democrats take the Senate I plan to join the world fasts post election day and start storing up ammo!
And Hillary will pick Loretta Lynch to Replace Scalia as long as she blocks the grand jury for this clinton foundation/email stuff.

This is the most succinct reason for conservative voters to hope for a Clinton win, either by voting for her or abstaining from voting for Trump. It is a focus on the long game and the future of the republican party. I have become disgusted with the national republican leadership, and I have considered going the UT option and voting for libertarians as a 'pox on both houses' gesture. But I think most people can agree that the US needs a serious opposition power to keep the other side in check, even if they don't win. The current national republican leadership is not a serious option right now.

I have my doubts about the GOP's viability anyways, and sooner or later it will need a major reformation for it to survive as a serious national party. The needed demolition may come sooner with a resounding Clinton win.

This is my fear even with a Congress controlled by the republicans. The more liberal Judges that are appointed, the more this country can be run by executive orders. Hillary will run wild with her executive orders for the benefit of the "people". There are no democrats with the balls to stop the bull shit or condemn and the MSM certainly won't.

The GOP is more likely to gerrymander than the Democrats. http://election.princeton.edu/2012/1...es-do-it-myth/

So by the same standard do you blame Hillary for all the bull shit that goes on with anyone associate or supporting her. How about the goons that planned riots at Trump events. Are you really part of the crowd that even though they incited these you blame Trumps rhetoric.

Follwoing your logic Uhma (sp) being married to Weiner means Hillary supports and is responsible for pedophiles. You have such good arguments you can and do make, stay away from the wander into bull shit.

Have you missed the saber rattling by GOP senators to block any nominee for the Supreme Court up by Clinton?

Maybe if NAMBLA was robocalling for Clinton you'd have a point. What goons are you talking about? Are you talking about James O'Keefe's discredited shit?

Nope and I also haven't missed Harry the liar bastard Reid's move to do away with the 60 vote rule. He has recently said that opens the way for using it in the case of Judges too.

While mentioning Reid, I hear he has a TR. I haven't been in for one for a while. Have they done away with the honesty with your fellow man question?

If Hillary wins and picks Lynch I will give you 100 dollars.

This is where I am now at as well. If Trump wins, in four years, I think the door will be wide open for someone like Elizabeth Warren, which would be terrible for us all. Conversely, if Hillary is in, perhaps a fiscal conservative will have a chance.

Discredited in your mind. Look, I have found arguing with you and BlueK in this thread just isn't good for my friendship with you and him. IMHO, you both are like Junkie when discussing Utes and Cougars. A lot of good thoughts mixed with emotional bull crap.
