It looks like voter suppression is a thing. "Guilford's plan also included one restriction that particularly angered Democrats. In the first week of early voting in 2012, residents could vote at 16 sites. This year, that has been reduced to one." Also from article, "Just 7,916 people voted in the first week of early voting in Guilford this year, compared to 60,732 in 2012, according to state elections board records."

It doesn't matter... Those electronic voting machines are all most likely hacked by the Russians anyway.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostIt looks like voter suppression is a thing. http://www.politico.com/magazine/sto...minutes-214144How to Hack an Election in 7 Minutes
With Russia already meddling in 2016, a ragtag group of obsessive tech experts is warning that stealing the ultimate prize—victory on Nov. 8—would be child’s play.
[...]
The Princeton group has a simple message: That the machines that Americans use at the polls are less secure than the iPhones they use to navigate their way there. They’ve seen the skeletons of code inside electronic voting’s digital closet, and they’ve mastered the equipment’s vulnerabilities perhaps better than anyone (a contention the voting machine companies contest, of course). They insist the elections could be vulnerable at myriad strike points, among them the software that aggregates the precinct vote totals, and the voter registration rolls that are increasingly digitized. But the threat, the cyber experts say, starts with the machines that tally the votes and crucially keep a record of them—or, in some cases, don't.
[...]
I don't trust those damn touch screen voting machines. They have no paper audit trail so it is anyone's guess that your vote was registered correctly. And what happens if someone discovers that voting machines have been tampered with? They other day when I was voting there was some guy walking around with one. He didn't have any kind of an official looking badge on or anything. He just walk into the voting place sat the machine down and left. That gave me all kinds of warm fuzzies."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

I saw that article and it does look bad. I wish there were more federal regulations around early voting.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostIt looks like voter suppression is a thing. They've been after me nonstop as well. Eric Trump is even more annoying via email than on camera. As it draws to a close I am enjoying the entertainment. I am depressed, not a great deal, that enough people were not repulsed by both Trump and Clinton. I blame us.
If I had to choose, and admittedly I am an optimist, but from my perspective I think this election is working out the best it possibly could - in much the same way as Pac often says: "somebody in Afghanastan has to be the best golfer in the country!" Hillary will win. Even though she is a crook and even liberal partisan hack job pundits have to admit it, but in the end she will have a much more organized get out the vote and I think will outperform the polls. She will win. But she will be deeply wounded. Further, because she is such a crook and a terrible candidate I don't think the Democrats will have the down ballot success I worried they might given that the worst candidate in the history of mankind is the Republican nominee. It appears that the Republicans will likely keep both the Senate and the House and have an extremely unpopular and wounded Democrat in the White House. I can live with that.
Now if the Democrats take the Senate I plan to join the world fasts post election day and start storing up ammo!Do Your Damnedest In An Ostentatious Manner All The Time!

A Trump win would mean that in four years the Republican party would be supporting this sad excuse of a human being for re-election. With a Hillary win, focus could turn to unseating her in four years with a decent candidate.Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostAs it draws to a close I am enjoying the entertainment. If the GOP retains the House and the Senate, we can pummel her for four years. Hopefully we can mortally wound her so that we will not have to bear the burden of the Clintons any longer.Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostI am not sure Donald Trump really wants to be President. I have said all along the only way I would vote for Hillary is if I could be guaranteed the republicans get the Senate and House. If by some fluke the dems get the White House, Senate and House it would prove to me God no longer has America on his "I love that country" list.Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostAs it draws to a close I am enjoying the entertainment. I can only remember one other time when I was going to be depressed no matter who won. That was Johnson vs Goldwater.
The republicans need to take a good long look at themselves. I think they are doing that as many of the leaders of the party have denounced or withheld all out support of their candidate.
Unfortunately with the dems it is same ole, same ole. They have a crook for a candidate and yet party leaders are solidly behind her. I guess it is a pretty much given Donna B. lied about handing out the questions. CNN even called it disgusting. Debbie out, Donna in. Same ole, same ole.
