Is he any worse than Clinton or JFK when it comes to womanizing and respect for women. He is far, far worse as a politician, that is for sure.

When I turn on the TV or read on the internet I would prefer hearing about what his character and policies would do to the nation.

I would like to hear it from reasonable non emotional folks unlike the "he's a Nazi crowd".

Voting for McMullin is the very definition of smelling your own fart.

This is the classic response of the Trump apologists. And Trump himself.

Trump will not be elected. No I don't support him and I curse him for hurting the GOP.

With that said, if in an alternate reality, Trump were elected and he were not completely incompetent a la Carter, I believe his policies would look similar to Clinton in many regards, with these major changes.

Immigration would be limited. Right now, we have no immigration policy. Clinton, now denies it to some extent but email leaks show otherwise, backs a virtual open borders immigration policy. Which benefits the US?

Protectionism. Trump would try to adopt a more protectionist approach to international trade. Would that generate jobs here? Clinton has historically been in favor more free trade a la NAFTA, but appears to back off from that. It is consistent with an open borders philosophy.

His personal character flaws might impair credibility with others, maybe not. On the domestic front, Trump would have no credibility on "women's" issues. Clinton's silence on her husband's gallivanting makes her a hypocrite, but Democrats always look the other way when one of their own is guilty of misdeeds. Her gender favors her in this department.

I don't know. I think it is obvious that Hillary and Bill are plenty corrupt, venal and selfish as well although far more polished in keeping it less obvious and hidden. I don't know if it matters who is worse as I think both are corrupt, selfish and venal enough to think it not a good idea for either to be in the White House.

                • I guffaw every time someone refers to Trump’s policies. What are those, anyway? At various times, he has expressed two or more conflicting views on (and this is just off the top of my head): party affiliation, abortion, gun control, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Ronald Reagan, the Iraq War, regime change in Libya, the minimum wage, taxing the wealthy, mass deportation, how to combat ISIS, releasing his tax returns, his fitness for office given his womanizing, NATO, nuclear weapons for other countries, etc. Seriously, the only things he’s been consistent on are (i) the impossible dream of building a ridiculous wall along less than 10% of possible U.S. entry points, and (ii) the magnificence of Donald Trump.

                  Policies? Hilarious.

That would be nice. Unfortunately, those types of policy details haven't been Trump's focus yet. You know because of playing his hand to the terrorists and all.

Although, I did come across this fascinating detail sheet on how Trump will get Mexico to "pay for the wall" by his third day in office. Thanks money grams!

Ask Topper. He thinks they are very well articulated. Or at least, they have the potential to be very well articulated.

                      • Well, I have several clients I have to go meet. If anyone does happen to come up with the Hillary policies that would make me want to vote for her, I will read them tonight.

By the way, make sure they are policies she hasn't told some group she has spoken to that these aren't really her policies.

Free trade, open borders, killing the coal industry are examples that you can't give a definitive answer.

The bottom line is how did we get here? Two awfully flawed candidates (awfully is being generous).

LOL. If you follow Topper's reasoning, it would be insane not to vote for him, since his potentially well-articulated policies are better than anything Clinton has proposed.

As soon as he thinks he's losing Utah he will make an ugly attack on Mormons, and all the "evangelicals" at whatever rally he's at when he says it are going to be whipped up into a frenzy. He's also not going to like it when he realizes every LDS member of congress and senate from Utah and all the other states that have one have pulled their support (well, except for Hatch so far).

He goes after anyone and anything he thinks isn't giving him proper respect. Also, according to those close to the campaign, his last ditch effort these last few weeks is going to be to shore up the base and hope Hillary's turnout is low. Some think he's given up on adding more new voters at this point. So ripping on mormons in front of a bunch of "evangelicals" fits right into that strategy pretty well of getting the base as excited as possible. I think we all know Trump well enough by now to know the mormon attack is coming.
