He has really damaged himself with his association with Trump. If he were to win it would not be big.

I believe Drumpf is such a bad candidate that even if the Russians tried to hack the hell out of our elections he still wouldn't win.

As for hacking the US government is doing more than its share of offensive cyber warfare/attacks against other countries (of course, they don't like to talk about offensive cyber warfare). See Zero Days and Nakoma's post above, for example. So do we really expect that other countries to not try to hack us? In short, we should expect the Russians and others to initiate offensive cyber attacks against us including trying to influence our elections. The question is what is the DNC and the Obama administration trying to do to stop it other than pointing fingers. Maybe the Obama administration should have the secret service fix the DNC's email insecurity since it seems like they don't know anything about cyber security. Of course, Hillary Clinton apparently doesn't like using government approved (government secured) email so that would most likely be fruitless.

I agree... Pence along with any republican that endorsed Drumpf are proven dumbasses and don't deserve to be elected or re-elected to any office.

                • I'd definitely take Johnson over Drumpf. Still, I'm wondering if in the past four months he's reached a conclusion as to whether the U.S made the correct decision to enter WWII. We know he hasn't been keeping up on current events.

                  • Watching some of the debate pregame and then saw this. Perfect.

I doubt it. True to his stereotypical libertarian roots, all military action is all bad all the time:

But when pressed four times on whether he saw a moral equivalence between deaths caused by the United States, directly or indirectly, and mass killings of civilians by Mr. Assad and his allies, Mr. Johnson made clear that he did.

“Well no, of course not — we’re so much better than all that,” Mr. Johnson, a former New Mexico governor, said sarcastically. “We’re so much better when in Afghanistan, we bomb the hospital and 60 people are killed in the hospital.”…

Wow. This is probably the biggest whiff on one of my posts in the history of the board. You clearly are not a student of my posts.

For the record, I was just tweaking Uncle Ted with my own take on his patented "Feel the Johnson" response. I think Johnson, even with all of his goofiness, would be 1000x better president than Trump. Hell, I could go outside and throw a rock and hit someone who would be a better president than Trump.

                          • A glaring problem with third parties, and their candidates, is that they are ideologically pie-in-the-sky and are unprepared to govern. We'd be better off with strong third parties, but alas.

So because 3rd party candidates are generally unqualified and ideological, we should dismiss Gary Johnson who was a governor and is pretty pragmatic? Help me understand this.

Trump could do that, too, and he still wouldn't lose their support.
