  • Why did the Libertarian cross the road?

    • We have a caricature running for president.

Donald Trump finally shared the name of someone he consults on foreign policy: himself.Asked on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” who he talks with consistently about foreign policy, Trump responded, “I’m speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain and I’ve said a lot of things."
"I know what I’m doing and I listen to a lot of people, I talk to a lot of people and at the appropriate time I’ll tell you who the people are," Trump said. “But my primary consultant is myself and I have a good instinct for this stuff."

I watched that and it was crazy. It is one thing to be confidnet in oneself, but he could be dillusional. I guess there is a white blue collar contingency that are voting without really giving a lot of deep thought.

The democrats also have their contingency that votes without a lot of deep thought and thus we get the candidates we are getting this year.

              • WSJ has an delegate count simulator that is pretty cool. Play around with it!

                http://graphics.wsj.com/elections/20...ate-simulator/

Bottom line: Ohio made Trump's path to an uncontested nomination harder. But no matter what (realistic) scenario, no one is catching up to his delegate count.

Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

the problem is the rules require someone to win 8 states in order to be on the ballot. so its either cruz or trump

                  • These labels--like atheist, libertarian--are not helpful. Some of us just have an instinctive loathing and mistrust of government--really, authority in general--that is reaffirmed over and over again. For example, if a road construction bottleneck causes a traffic jam, I presume it's being executed incompetently--or even dishonestly executed--and that if the people in charge were a private enterprise, and we the drivers were customers, it would be done differently and a lot better. I'm always sure of that down to the soles of my feet.

That can and will likely be changed before the convention. It was initiated before the last convention to prevent Paul delegates from disrupting the convention by nominating Paul.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I read some where that there is a similar percentage of non-trump republicans that won't vote for Drumpf. Maybe that 3rd party candidate will get a lot of votes this year.

but the delegates would have to approve it.

I'm not sure, but even if true, the delegates are not necessarily the crazies that are voting for Trump or Cruz. They are party faithful.

                              Anyway, we shall see.

Why wouldn't they? Trump will have the most delegates going into the convention but that doesn't mean they will be loyal to him. They are bound to him on the first ballot but I think it's very likely a good portion of them will be hoping it goes beyond the first ballot.
