Coin toss broke 6 Clinton-Sanders deadlocks in Iowa — and Hillary won each time

While it was hard to call a winner between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders last night, it’s easy to say who was luckier.

The race between the Democrat presidential hopefuls was so tight in the Iowa caucus Monday that in at least six precincts, the decision on awarding a county delegate came down to a coin toss. And Clinton won all six, media reports said.

Cruz might be the creepiest person I've ever seen. I'm quite certain he has skeletons in his closet. Like literally, dozens of skeletons in his closet and under his house.

When this comes up, what we hear is that if they did, places like Iowa would never see a candidate. Well, they might see them fly through at some point early in the process. But no one is going to spend very much time in a state that has so few delegates to gain. Particularly not if it puts at risk all of the delegates from the larger states.

Honestly? I suppose that makes sense. Wanting to spread things out enough that each state gets some attention.

But if it were up to me, I'd probably prefer that the middle states get ignored. Maybe if there wasn't the craziness of Cruz spending time in all 99 counties of Iowa, or Trump spending even one day in the entire state, the voters would ignore the celebrity and actually consider who they want representing them as their president. Not just who came to visit, causing them to believe that they care and will spend a moment of thought on them again within the next 3.5 years.

I would like a system where less populated states have a window to go before more populated states.

I don't agree with Iowa and New Hampshire getting first dibs every time.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes.
