    My own personal politics aside

(and they are very muddled), somebody needs to tell Biden to shut the hell up. He's like Dan Quayle without the midwestern charm.

Can't they do something about this?

"Excuse me, Mr. Vice President, but we've determined that there is a perpetual threat against the President, and to ensure the perpetuation of our democracy we need to send you to an undisclosed, media-free location for the remainder of his term."

    He's got Gore's charisma, Hillary's ego, and Quayle's relevance.

      What'd he do now?

BTW, I prefer to think of him as a very poor man's Alan Simpson.

Tila Tequila and Juggalos, America’s saddest punchline since the South.

        Great post.

I do have to ask, however, has there ever been a VP that was relevant? You could have said that Biden has the charisma, ego and relevance of Gore and been just as accurate.

Well, that much is true. I wonder if it'd be enough to get Biden to go underground.

                A fair point.

Vice President Biden's comments, saying he would advise his family to stay away from airlines and confined spaces, drew the ire of the travel industry.

"I would tell members of my family -- and I have -- I wouldn't go anywhere in confined places now. It's not that it's going to Mexico in a confined aircraft where one person sneezes, that goes all the way through the aircraft," Biden said on NBC's "The Today Show."

                  "That's me.

"I would not be, at this point, if they had another way of transportation, suggesting they ride the subway," he said. "From my perspective, this relates to mitigation. If you're out in the middle of the field and someone sneezes, that's one thing. If you're in a closed aircraft, a closed container, a closed car, a closed classroom, that's another thing."
                  Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Crap, first I have to freak out about the economy, sell all my stuff and buy gold (physical with delivery.) Now I have to part with some of said gold for a remote mountain cabin to avoid the coming swine/bird/people flu apocalypse?

I tell you, panic ain't cheap.

If you already own the tools, you don't need to part with your gold. Grab your chainsaw and start cutting trees to build your own cabin.

But I need to buy the land so when the shit finally does go down I can claim sovereign power over my forty acres. Of course I'll still have to repel the jack booted UN troops in their black helicopters, but first things first.

Buy it? If it's federal land, it already belongs to you.

Yeah, but then I have to fight you and that guy and that guy over our share. No, best to buy fee and then build a stockade around the perimeter.
