  • Fasting for Obama

For the next two hours, I'm going to fast for the man who will be president for the next four years: Barack Hussein Obama.

Romney has no chance. He makes even the rich hate the rich, an amazing feat. He is surrounded by political imbeciles and the guilt of his terrible campaign staff resides 100% with him. The man should be winning in a landslide but will lose a landslide.

So, dear friends, if you must fast, fast for Obama. He will win. We need him to become a great president, tone down his anti-business, anti-rich rhetoric and become a true American leader.

Romney? Don't starve yourself over him. He's a loser.

It's too late to fast for Obama. Ramadan ended in August.

No, I will be wearing funeral clothing for the US. Obama will be president again, but his solutions will fail as they failed over the last four years. This is our lost decade.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

Viking, thank you for logging in as your wife and posting this. I agree with you, as it mirrors the point I made in the main campaign thread. Fasting for your guy to win is misguided and silly. Fasting for the sitting president to be inspired, regardless of political affiliation, makes much more sense and doesn't use religion as an obvious partisan tool.

I like you, Clueless. I think I will fast for Obama. Starting tonight around 9 p.m. I won't eat or drink until at least 5 a.m.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

An odd thing to say in a thread in which she professes her desire to fast for the US President.

This post was obviously a low-cred troll from the start, but I hope Clueless saw that "loser" curbstomp her boy (not you Vike) for 90 minutes the other night. And how BO cldn't look the loser in the eye.

So after seeing what the fast did for mitt, are the dems looking to organize their own fast for Biden? Heaven knows he may need it.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
