I don't want to post these things as fact, because although from very reliable sources I don't want to make misstatements if there was a misunderstanding.
1) Someone told me he knows of a person here on a student visa. The person student told him his wife was expecting. After congratulating him, he asked if he had US insurance or insurance from his own country. His reply was, all the bills will be paid by medicaid. Was there a misunderstanding along the line. Surely medicaid doesn't pay the cost of having a child for a student here on a visa.
2) This one is a bit more touchy, at least to me. A good friend told me his son works for GM. He is a mechanical engineer. He worked for Ford and then got involved in a start up company. That company didn't work out. Yep small business's involve risk just not big money success. Anyway he is now on with GM.
I said, well I will bet he is greatful for Obama. He said not really and he wonders what is going on. He and others don't have enough work. They sit around and draw a dang good salary and he feels guilty, but not so much to back on unemployment. Not a union job though.
Could it be possible GM isn't doing as great as Biden and Obama says, but no way can that information be let out.
