  • Bill Maher - We're Not #1

I'm probably one of the only Bill Maher fans on the board, but for some reason I think he is funny. Check out this clip.

I love to hate Bill Maher. He's a funny man, but he makes too many jokes that come from that smarmy self-righteous place that he loves to inhabit. His interview of Noam Chomsky wasn't all-bad.

Yeah. I don't agree with a lot of what he says, but I still find it funny. I love when he has Andrew Sullivan on his show. Also, P.J. O'Rourke.

This is my favorite post of yours so far this year. Anything that mixes contempt of Maher with a mention of Chomsky goes straight to the top.

It seems like his show sincerely looks to generate honest, open discussion. Maher himself is very easy to hate, and I recognize that, but I think his show doesn't get enough credit.

I don't have HBO, so I depend on the podcast to keep me afloat. I enjoy it every time.

The best thing about Maher's show is that he gives Hitchens plenty of opportunities to tee off on morons. Here he tags up with Salman Rushdie to jump Mos Def.

Wow, I always thought Mos Def was a bit more insightful than what I just saw. That lowered my opinion of him. My opinion of Hitchens and Maher cannot be lowered.

Rushdie is a man of staggering talent and genius.

I can't imagine why he isn't married. He's a bigger jerk than some CUFers

IN my book Maher is right up there with Keith Obermann. Maybe I don't have a sense of humor.

Rushdie is an idiot. He was married to Padma Lakshmi and couldn't make it work.
