Hmm. I guess the only time I've eaten there is in Mesa in not exactly the worst part of town, but I guess it wasn't the nicest either. I mean it wasn't terrible, but according to that chart I should have at least been shot at going through the drive-thru.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostNot weird at all. Maybe you are unfamiliar with the chain. They often focus on densely populated areas that are deemed less desirable for other major chains.
If you find yourself standing at a Church's Chicken, you are most likely in a poor, urban, illiterate, high crime neighborhood. voter apathy and even lack of political awareness runs rampant.
Now I guess the other thing I'm surprised about is how Red Lobster is a blue franchise. I could easily picture Toby Keith bibbed out diggin into some Lobster and Lard Bread.

Not all Churchs Chicken are in poor neighborhoods, but they often are such. They specifically will look for these opportunities and cater to a demographic that traditionally has poor eating habits and patronizes fast food as an alternative to shopping for groceries.Originally posted by Commando View PostHmm. I've never been to a Cracker Barrel.Originally posted by DU Ute View PostRight or wrong, CFA will probably be seen as anti-gay going forward. Maybe homophobic was a poor choice. As for CB, the first thing I associate with it is racism. Maybe I'm in the minority.
Since I'm a Republican I need to get with it and start going there.

That's right. O'Connor wrote a concurring opinion arguing for Equal Protection but used rational basis to find it unconstitutional. No additional suspect class was created.Originally posted by Babs View PostI don't think so. Not technically, anyway. I think the Lawrence court used due process analysis rather than recognize a new class. I don't remember, though.
