  • Worst Congress of all time?

Gotta agree with Ezra Klein on this one. The 112th is a leading candidate.

Ezra Klein missed the biggest reason, IMHO... the current President has driven the congress to be very divided. e.g. The President's closed door meetings with only one party represented.

That just doesn't mesh with the record. On inauguration night, Republican congressional leadership met together and hashed out a strategy of pure obstructionism. Obama could have perhaps done more to change the image of who was responsible for the divide, but in no way could he have ever bridged the divide.

God bless them for their valiant efforts, however successful.

One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

I don't disagree he has made divisive comments (give me the name of one single politician who hasn't). I do disagree this makes him primarily responsible for where we are today in terms of divisiveness.

Is there a bigger ass kissing sycophant ever than Mike Johnson?

                    Perhaps Pam Bondi.

The way she pronounces "Trump" is really annoying, for some reason.

Again? They did this last year, too. Days between April and September 2025 didn't count as days because... the House didn't want to exercise its Congressional responsibility, I guess.
