  • Another fire in Utah: Herriman

    http://kutv.com/news/top-stories/sto...44.shtml?wap=0http://kutv.com/news/top-stories/sto...44.shtml?wap=0

Does anyone else remember these reports from a couple of months ago?

    http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?se...rld&id=8646527

The conditions don't seem any worse than past dry years.

Yet, it seems as if the entire world is on fire right now.

Anyone have some spare tinfoil. I need to make a hat.

It's really sad that people's homes are at serious risk.

That said, is it awful that I'm more horrified by the tweets/facebook posts KSL is showing as a sidebar to their coverage?

This is about a quarter mile from my home.

      Hopefully nothing happens.

I have no idea where to put these things.

I had no idea about this and just heard about it.

        66 homes burned in Pocatello.

        Good hell.

        Sixty-six.

Is the entire world on fire right now?

Have we ever seen it this bad before, let alone in June?

Dang... some pictures of the Herriman fire.

          http://www.deseretnews.com/article/8...iman-fire.html

This happened fast and it is VERY close to lot's of homes. From the pictures, it looks like more than 2-4 homes have already burned down.

It started out as a 5 alarm fire, it's now a 10 alarm. Scary stuff! Stay safe south valleyers!

We are driving down to beach camp in Carlsbad for a week. Yee haw. Anyways, the smoke from Springville to Filmore is pretty incredible. It gets thicker and thicker as you get towards Filmore and pretty much completely blocks out the sun. It's everywhere.

I sent Yardo a text. He is in Alaska right now and didn't even know about the fires. He lives not too far from there.

Already up to 350 acres. 3 homes confirmed destroyed and ZERO% containment. Uggh.

I lived in that neighborhood. My kids played at some of those homes. I think I am going to puke.

People need to find something better to do with their time. This is the summer to do without fireworks... Save them for the winter.

This fire season has been terrible, but the sunset and sunrises as a result of the smoke in the air have been amazing. The sunrise this morning is indescribably beautiful. I stopped what I was doing at work to marvel at is for 15 minutes.
