A few generations hence, Elizabeth Warren's great-great grandchildren will legitimately claim minority status as 31/32 white on their Harvard Law applications.

This isn't directed at you, Scorcho, but I am not sure why these stories are terribly relevant. Why is it newsworthy? I don't get it. Seems like a vestige of a bygone era.

Also, wouldn't whites be the new minority in terms of newborn births? How long will we cling to that outdated nomenclature?

We owe a large portion of our economic prosperity the last 30 years to Latino immigration. White people stopped having babies in Europe and America, but our economy didn't stall like Europe's did, because we had Latino's step in to pick up the slack.

I understand your point, but our birthrate didn't drop nearly as dramatically as Western Europe.

It dropped dramatically enough that we would be having much more severe age imbalance problems on the horizon if it were not for the influx of immigrants for the past 30 years.

Wait, I thought immigrants only caused problems?

Well, maybe we should wait for IPU and Tex to give their nuanced opinions.
