    "Obama Finishes Evolving"

    "Obama Finishes Evolving" is the headline of the Deseret News story on Obama and gay marriage.

    What an atrocious headline.

    Why not say his stance evolved? "Obama's stance finishes evolving" would be fine. I think the Deseret News headline might be intended to send a mocking or racist undertone.

            Harry Reid evolves on the issue. I'm sure he'll get an earful at church.

            What kind of annoys me about the subject is that both Reid and Obama take up the federalism mantle while avoiding the issue of how the federal government should treat same sex couples in terms of tax treatment, social security and spousal benefits. I'm fine with different states setting different marriage standards, but it does little if the feds don't change.

                    Quite sad really. I know the dinosaur media (dailies) are dying due to the internet and alternative media so this is probably the reason.
