  • Pelosi lied abt waterboarding: She knew abt it, and she approved

More light shed on the absurd posturing of Dem leadership during the Bush years, usually involving them publicly berating Repub leadership for allegedly evil and un-American policies that they themselves helped put in place.

Again, can you put all one-sided conservative rants into a single thread so those of us interested in objectivity (no point being presented without the legitimate counterpoint also being presented at the same time) can easily isolate the posts/threads not worth reading?

Go find the damn counterpoint and post it here.

This came out a couple years ago but I guess it can get a bit recycled. It was made quite clear that Pelosi was briefed on the interrogation tactics and she did nothing at the time. Guess this is just more evidence to pile on the issue.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. Tim, we are decade-long cyber frenemies but I think the friend part of the equation is strong enough for me to ask: What the hell are you talking about? Would you care to challenge the testimony of the man who personally briefed Pelosi on waterboarding and has had the courage to put it on the public record?

What about these claims isn't "objective"? It has been known for a long time that Pelosi sat in on briefings in which her Republican colleagues also participated and they had already stated that they had been told about waterboarding and Pelosi didn't object. Now the guy who gave the briefings confirms this, confirms that a contemporaneous memo was sent out stating that she had participated in the briefings and had specifically objected to one other technique but had said nothing about waterboarding -

in essence, he confirms exactly what previous testimonies had already claimed and you say it's not objective? How so?

Also - purely out of curiosity - what about this is either (a) "conservative" or (b) a "rant"?

                    Thanks in advance.

Dude, I'm just messing with you. I comment regularly about the proliferation of posts. You're posting articles related to similar topics (All of them riffs on the idea that Obama sucks) in at least 4 different threads right now. I'd like to see it brought together so it's easier to follow. My post was just a goofy way of asking for some consolidation.

This one is a riff on the idea that Pelosi sucks. And is a big fat liar.

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I don't see how this is debatable. Pelosi is the worst of the worst politicians. Only hyper-partisans will defend her behavior on this issue.

yeah, I'm not understanding Tim's argument here. Are Obama and Pelosi the same person?
