The Brits spell it "paedophiles"?
What a problem for our society. As I understand it, the rate of rehabilitation failures is around 95%. But legally, can you lock pedophiles up forever? Can you chemically castrate them? Can you execute them? Our society's will to protect children is definitely facing a major challenge. -

There is evidence to suggest that a sexual attraction to children may be an "orientation" and no easier to reprogramme in a person than, say, heterosexuality.
NAMBLA and like-minded groups are among the top proponents of children's rights. Because if it is a sexual orientation, and you recognize children "rights", then the reasoning is that you have a situation essentially no different than the homosexuals are facing now.
Their strategy seems to be to "nibble at the edges" and slowly erode the attitudes against childrens rights before attempting to change them.Comment
