Thou Shalt Not Say "Dinosaur"

I wonder if the creationist museum is just an empty warehouse."Dinosaurs" evoking unpleasant emotions? The New York Post speculated that the "dinosaurs" could "call to mind evolution, which might upset fundamentalists.”
But what the tabloid failed to realize is that those "fundamentalists" who oppose evolution on religious grounds, believe wholeheartedly in dinosaurs.
Young Earth creationists, or Biblical creationists as they prefer to be called, often point to dinosaurs in making their arguments. They say dinosaurs and humans roamed Earth together, citing legends of dragons and say the fossil record shows the earth is 6,000 years old, though few paleontologists and geologists share this theory.
At the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, the heart of the Young Earth Creationism movement, dinosaur models and exhibits fill the museum displays and gift shop."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

There's probably at least a platypus in there somewhere. No way that wasn't the byproduct of someone having a lot of fun.Originally posted by Moliere View PostI wonder if the creationist museum is just an empty warehouse.

oh geez. This reminds me of those big dinosaurs in Pee Wee's Big Adventure. I guess those are exhibits done by some Christian Dinosaur-ists, and cite the Bible for validation-- specifically the Good Book's use of the word "behemoth" as proof of dinosaurs.
Whatever.
