Ted Nugent gives his opinion:
Trayvon Martin’s vicious attack on George Zimmerman and Martin’s tragic death have no doubt surely dragged Mr. Zimmerman through 18 months of untold emotional hell, pain, distress, anguish, fatigue, nightmares and financial ruin. Again, following the narrative of the pro-Trayvon media types and other race-baiters, if Trayvon Martin was a minor, then Trayvon Martin’s parents may be held liable for the emotional pain and suffering Mr. Zimmerman has been put through for the past 18 months, and surely for the rest of his life.

What if Trevon had pushed Zimmerman's head just right into the cement and Zimmerman was killed. Well in that case I suspect Al would be claiming the child angle again.
Here is a truth. Trevon's parents lost a child. I don't care if he was 14, 17 or 30. They have every right to grieve and though I disagree with them on the fairness of the trial, I fully support their expressing their feeling as often as they wish.
The others though and the race baiting that is going on I find disgusting.

People want a platform for their agendas as something this high profile is impossible for them to pass up. I agree with your sentiment on the parents' right to grieve. Nobody is saying the loss of a child is easy, or that they shouldn't be upset.Originally posted by byu71 View PostTed is less sensitive than I am.

My familys' Charles Barkley story:Originally posted by dabrockster View PostHis response is very good. I loved that guy. His time in Phoneix was great and I have always loved him since then...
Parents and youngest sister (10 years old at the time) were in Las Vegas. My sister is very gifted but athlete talent is not among her gifts so she has never taken an interest in sports. They had just spent a few days watching nephews compete in a soccer tournment. Parents and kid sister are now in the hotel hot tub when who walks up and joins them: Sir Charles! My sister is staring intently at Barkley's large stature and my Dad says to to her outloud to "break the ice", "That man is a professional athlete, guess what sport he plays?" My Dad wrongly assumes that my sister would naturally guess basketball even though he wasn't sure if she recognized Charles Barkley. My kid sister blurts out loudly, "SOCCER". Sir Charles is stunned for a moment and then just starts laughing, and can't stop. He moves over to my Dad and shakes his hand telling him that his daughter has a great sense of humor.“Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory.”

President Obama makes a statement or two...
"Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago," Obama said.

"If we're sending a message as a society ... that someone who is armed potentially has the right to use those firearms even if there's a way for them to exit from a situation, is that really going to be contributing to the kind of peace and security and order that we'd like to see?" Obama said.

I don't get this line of reasoning regarding the SYG laws. People who adopt this position act like it is clear cut when a person should flee and when they should not, as if, in the heat of the moment it is an easy determination to make. Additionally, people are making a big deal of of the Marissa Alexander case (and they should be) and often the same people are outraged by the Marissa Alexander outcome and SYG laws. That just doesn't make sense to me.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View Post

I may be too dense to get your drift.
