The contempt the leftists have in the media is deplorable. The shot at those who exercise their 1st Amendment right of assembly by calling it "insanitea" is an insult to anyone who believes in the freedom of speech.

What's her name in this video knew exactly what she was saying.

That was officially the funniest thing I have seen this year.

What would she know about tea bagging? I'm just saying...

That was hilarious. The best line: "if he's being teabagged while he's speaking it will be kind of muffled." The bit about teabaggers being born that way was funny too. The only thing in this thread funnier than this piece is ilPad declaring that Rachel Maddow knows exactly what she's saying. Ya think?

I am gald that Ana Marie Cox was willing to speak out about teabagging.

That wasn't that funny. The knowing smirks sapped all the humor from the entendre. Entendres are never funny when they are delivered with an arrogant smirk.

But boy did this setup have potential. Along the lines of Colonel Angus.

                    But their smugness killed it.

Another reason this wasn't funny: wrong forum. MSNBC is not supposed to be a replacement for SNL. But that's what it's become.

                      Not funny at all.

Especially when our newspapers are crumbling all around us. Can our democracy survive without honest, independent journalists?

But let us speak of sucking testicles. Yes. Let us do that.

I tried, but no one wanted a "Bedroom" forum.

                          Right.

                          Rachel Maddow: not funny.

AMC: funny back in the Wonkette days. Nowadays: not funny.

It's not about politics; it's about not being funny, and thinking you are hi.lar.ious.

On sucking balls...it's mostly used a transitive verb anyway...much like its cousin 'rape'. Its common employment is by 14-16 yr-olds in locker room/xbox live vernacular, i.e. "I'm going to TB you, b****."

So...even in its most common usage, the jokes do not work. Add to this fact pseudo-political commentators making the entendre jokes: less funny.

I don't lament the loss of independent cable 'journalists'; they cannot become less relevant, but the core of your post is accurate.

                            What's funny is the cliche...

"Look, cable 'news' commentator made Onion-like double entendre joke"

                            "Wow, new."

"Well, this one *is* about sucking balls"

That Maddow is a lesbian and AMC was looking like one did make their contempt for teabagging look all the more real.
