It would actually be more creative and positive if they assigned negative Jiminy Cricket's to classify the falsity of an assertion. So Obama and Tom Hanks would get a whole bunch of these (the negative sign would be more centered):

Anyway, The Post would be happy for both of you to express your opinions. Just go here.

      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Obama’s misleading tweet on Romney’s taxes

The Obama campaign’s tweet relies on a very slippery “fact.”

Romney, by receiving much of his income in capital gains and dividends and giving millions of dollars to charity, is certainly able to keep his effective tax rate relatively low, especially compared to a wealthy person who earns much of his or her income in salary. But, even so, Romney still pays an effective tax rate that is higher than the tax rate paid by most Americans.
        Three freaking Pinocchios!

        Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

The article doesn't say that. They said his claims were unproven, not that they were lies.

Because Obama says chances are and they're including employer's payroll tax to get that number.

It is hard for me to realize what a dope Reid is. The very idea I allege something against someone else and "they" have to prove my allegation is false is contrary to everything I have ever believed about our justice system or indeed the American tradition of fairness.

It goes so far as to even still refering to the Colorado shooter as the "alleged" killer.

It is scary to me that someone like Reid can rise to the point of having as much political power as he does.

Exactly. Why does Obama and the dems fight so hard to not have payments cut or even eliminated to those who receive and will receive Social Security.

The argument I hear they make over and over again is "you paid into the system and therefor you deserve your Social Security promised you".

By the way, is there any other tax that goes into a specific area and Treasury Bonds (government obligations) are bought with that money.

I would love to ask Obama and his pals once and for all, is the payroll tax an income tax or a savings account for retirement. If it is just a tax, there is no justification for the government owing the retiree's anything.

So what are we to think of Romney who got a "pants on fire" label from Politifact (one of 14 he has earned so far) and 3 pinocchios from WaPo with his most recent nonsense about Obama's welfare plan? Something tells me you don't think that makes Romney a liar, even though the same standard you applied to Obama does make him a liar.

And to completely blow your mind, the very rating system you site above (the pinocchio ratings) actually show Romney being more deceptive in the aggregate over Obama (average rating of 2.27 versus 1.94, with Romney having 8 4 pinocchio ratings to Obama's 5).

As an aside, these fact checkers and their idiotic ratings systems are turning into part of the problem too.

You and YO are welcome to start your own "Mitt is a liar thread," but my vision for this particular thread, which I started by the way, is for it to be about what big, fat liars Obama and his puppets are.

You could call your thread, "Mitt: Lyin' for the Lord" or something like that. I'm giving that one to you for free. Good luck!

Ah. Okay. Well, I suppose staying true to the spirit of your thread and the standard of proof you have established, we can all safely say that Obama is a big fat liar who is not as big or fat of a liar as Romney but probably more of a liar than myboynoah (who, to my knowledge, remains unrated by the fact checkers).

I feel the righteous indignation rising. Do you think my paragraph above is too long for a poster?
