  • For those that need help signing up for a health care policy on the exchange, simply call 1-800-F1UCKYO.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Apparently finding someone that has actually who has purchased health coverage in the new Obamacare marketplace is like finding an unicorn...

The White House says people have bought Obamacare. We haven’t met them quite yet.

If you have purchased health coverage on the federal government's new Obamacare marketplace, about a dozen or so reporters would like to speak with you. We promise we won't take up too much of your time!
We just need to find you first.

The federal government has said that somewhere out in this vast country of 313 million people, where 48 million lack insurance coverage, someone has managed to sign up for health insurance on the federally-run marketplaces. As of yet, we haven't tracked this person - or these people - down.

This is not for lack of effort. Reporters here at The Washington Post and at other publications have been on the hunt for this mythical creature.

There are certainly lots of people trying to buy health insurance on the marketplace, that much is clear from my inbox. "I am trying to sign my wife up for an individual policy on Healthcare.gov and it's still basically impossible," one reader in Florida wrote to me Thursday morning. "I tried to create the account again and was told my username already existed for another account. I then closed the web browser and started looking around for a drink (if it weren't 8:30 a.m...)."

The successful shoppers remain elusive. We're told they do exist and are indeed real people. If you happen to be this very special health policy unicorn of sorts, you can e-mail me here. You would make a whole lot of health wonks quite excited.

You talk as if there is an actual contract between me and the gov't for these services. There is no contract. They really don't owe me anything, at least not right now.
Those changes won't affect anything in October which is what we are discussing.

And it looks like your message isn't getting out. You should tell these people there is no chance of a default. I'm guessing they will be happy to learn it:

            • The mythical creature has been found!

$175 premium for a young, healthy student? Thanks, Obamacare!

American media outlets were finally able to track down a mythical creature — a person who actually signed up for the Obamacare exchanges online.

But that person, Chad Henderson, admitted to the Washington Post that the premium for the plan he enrolled in was $175. Ouch! Wasn’t Obamacare supposed to lower premiums?

Henderson’s going to pay a $175 premium and he won’t even receive vision or dental insurance. He has contacts, so not having vision insurance is kind of a bum deal.

Henderson, as far as we know a healthy, 21-year-old college student at Chattanooga State Community College who lives in Flintstone, Ga., and works part-time at a day-care center, did not qualify for tax credits to purchase insurance, according to the Post.

Thanks to Obamacare’s community-rating price controls that take effect in 2014, Henderson’s cheapest plan option on eHealthInsurance jumped up to $190.23.

“So it appears that Obamacare quadrupled Chad’s premiums, and Enroll America thinks this is a success story,” Cannon said.

One of the main reasons health insurance prices are going up under Obamacare is because of the one-size-fits-all insurance plans required by the health care law.

Hmm... $190/month for Obamacare premiums. Chad must have one hell of a cell phone plan...

Edit: Thinking about it... The youngsters, like Chad, are going to get screwed by Obamacare. It is kind of ironic given that a lot of these youngsters voted for Obama.

And there is more to the story: Chad is a volunteer for Obama For America!

The same folks who believe Obama is doing a great job will believe that this is just a coincidence.

                    • You guys are way off. There's more than just Chad Henderson. For example, there's a single 30 year old UConn law student that went on to the website to get a policy and was informed that he was eligible for Medicaid. Welfare recipient this year, lawyer next year.

Won't he continue to be eligible for Medicaid until his student loans are forgiven?

                        • Just to put things in a nutshell right now -- Obama is sending guards to the WW II open air memorial to make sure 90 year old Iwo Jima and Battle of the Bulge Vets from all over the country can't see it and vetoing bills to fund cancer treatment for children, just so a 21 year old community college campaign volunteer can overpay for a health policy he'll never use and law students can go on welfare.

                          • Apparently the unicorn doesn't exist. So, we haven't yet found someone that has gotten an Obamacare policy. We still have the 30 year-old law student who was put on welfare with the aid of Obamacare.

The WW II barrycades are now wired together:

Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

So wait...it has been almost 4 full days and out of 45 million uninsured people (note: this number is a lie, but the dems use it over and over again so I will use it now to help reveal how bad Obamacare is) not a single person can be verified to have signed up for Obamacare?

                                That is truly unbelievable.
