    Pennies Cost Too Damn Much!

At 2.4 cents per penny, the solution is simple: eradiate the penny. How? Make all prices include sales tax and price in increments of $0.05 or $0.10. The vendor backs out the applicable taxes. Any pennies can remain on the books in electronic form.

So what other coin or bill do we deface so that we can continue to commemorate Lincoln's bust on our currency?

The other advantage to getting rid of the penny is all those penny hoarders can finally melt their old pennies down and sell the copper.

It is estimated that 4.3 million square feet of merchant counter space will be freed up by the removal of the penny tray.

It seems like the solution right now is to go down to the banks and get me some 2.4 cent pennies for only 1 cent each.
