Yeah it seems like if you shot bin laden you could probably request to work in a recruiter's office for a few years or something."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

This thread title is bugging me. Is it "bad ass" or "badass"? The second one looks correct to me, but I need a DH ruling."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Definitely one word. As it is,this thread title implies that Navy Seals are not good in the sack. While that may well be true--PTSD and all--I don't think that was the author's intent.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostThis thread title is bugging me. Is it "bad ass" or "badass"? Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Thanks for taking this to the board's grammar sage, JL. I think I always type badass, but almost always second guess myself at the same time. Now I can type badass with complete confidence.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostThis thread title is bugging me. Is it "bad ass" or "badass"? Woot, thanks for posting that article. As you indicated, it was an excellent read.Originally posted by woot View PostIn reading about Osama's killer (who has just broken protocol in revealing his name due to some resentment about his treatment since retirement -- and probably to boost his career as a motivational speaker), I was linked to this article from last year: http://www.esquire.com/features/man-...bin-laden-0313 a wide-ranging piece that includes a gripping description of how Osama died. It's great writing.
Apparently this is the same guy that led the rescue teams depicted by Lone Survivor and Captain Phillips. It seems fitting he get a little recognition.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

You didn't read the esquire article, otherwise you would know that it doesn't imply anything of the sort. What it actually states is that Navy SEALS are not good tactical backup....which I believe they would find more offensive than your inference.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostDefinitely one word. Such a good article. This part cracked me up:
On the third floor, there were two chicks yelling at us and the point man was yelling at them and he said to me, "Hey, we need to get moving. These bitches is getting truculent." I remember saying to myself, Truculent? Really? Love that word.
