missaw the picture but you can be sure lds meeting houses aren't used as politically as the picture shows this one was. I don't think youd see people surround Romney and have him lead a prayer simply because he is in a political position of power.Originally posted by fusnik View PostChurch houses aren't public?

That's a fairly narrow distinction don't you think?Originally posted by Maximus View Postyes because Romney is doing baby blessings and ordinations in public on the campaign trail.
I am with fusnik on the one. We are the last group of people that ought to be freaked out by something like that."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I do wonder if they have anything to hide. I assume we'll see it in the general election if they do. However, if nothing controversial comes out that would seriously be amazing given their age and experience. Maybe they are squeaky cleanOriginally posted by Viking View PostMatt wasn't my style in college but Tagg is awesome. Clueless knew Josh well and thinks he's a super guy. I was surprised when I heard today that he was speaking at Ford Field. I don't know why they would have selected that venue. I can't imagine that they thought it would be anywhere near capacity for a mid-day campaign stump speech/fundraiser/whatever this is.Originally posted by Moliere View Post
