Close enough to Pisa to send the Tower over? For some reason, that is a sadistic wish i've had ever since childhood. It could be the OCD in me that is bothered by the fact that it isn't straight. NOTE: I do not wish harm on any individual, Italian or otherwise, in wanting the Tower to fall. Ideally, it would happen in the middle of the night when no one is around to be injured. I'm rambling.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

No, Pisa is too far north. The epicenter was a bit to the east of Rome.

L'Aquila was my final missionary city. It was a beautiful city and it's strange to think that a lot of it is gone.
Current estimates have the death toll in the 90's. Based on what I remember of that city's architecture (very old), I wouldn't be suprised to see it climb.
One side note, a former companion told me that he read about a scientist who had been warning people for months of impending danger. He was basically told to shut up. Earthquakes in that region are not uncommon, so it seems strange that he would be met with resistance. At any rate, I'm not sure what anyone could have done about it anyway.

For some reason that doesn't surprise me, especially given Italy's current political climate. Some days I wonder if Berlusconi will turn into another Mussolini, but then I have a reality check and realize that if he did, he would just be a puppet of the Camorra.
I hope the deaths are kept to a minimum and that any survivors are found quickly.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

No, it needs to happen during the day so that someone video tapes it and puts it on Youtube.
