    The penis mom

Karen Mangiacotti never wanted to be known as the “penis mom.” It all started back in November when her 13-year old son’s teacher sent an email to parents about a physics project the school was organizing.

    That's awesome. Good for her.

No, lifting (in the non-metaphorical sense) is not done by the penis. But men often do these jobs because, on average, they're physically stronger than women. The teacher should have asked for any strong dads and for any burly mannish moms that would like to help. Maybe that would have satisfied this mountain out of a molehill idiot.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I don't think she made a mountain out of it. She didn't sue or call for anyone's head, just called them out in a funny email. She certainly could have been more tactful in her response, but she didn't overreact.

Yawn...get back to me when women are no longer barred from serving in combat infantry units.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

What I thought was funny was the firestorm created by her using the anatomically correct term for that which distinguishes male from female. And the "all disney all the time" thing.

Seems more like she made a mole hill out of an ant hill. I think the 'disney all the time' response was almost as offensive as the original call for 'strong dads.'
