Florida 2000 will always be the gold standard for bizarre election results. Tonight there was something like 120k votes cast and a handful of votes separates Santorum and Romney. In Florida, Bush ended up winning by about 500 votes out of 5.8 million votes. 5.8 million is roughly 50 times larger than 120k. 18 votes currently separates Santorum and Romney. If you multiply that by 50, you end up with a 900 vote differential. So Florida was roughly twice as close as the current 18 vote spread between Romney and Santorum.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Missing precint gives Mitt a win by 18 in that precint. That puts Mitt up by 14. As reported right now on CNN.

Yup, looks like Romney wins Iowa by 14.
                  Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Well, next up is New Hampshire. It will be interesting to see what happens with Perry's supporters and Newt's ire.

So Romney wins by only 8, not 14. Big dissapointment.

So it's even closer than Florida. Wow

The fact that all of these people are okay with someone who the Duggar family feels is second only to Jesus scares me.

Even more amazing is that he was 6 votes shy of his exact vote total in 2008.

Uncanny. I don't think it bodes well for Mitt that he gets slightly fewer votes in a year where he is expected to be the nominee as opposed to a year where it was clear he would not win Iowa.
