  • Hey gramps, where were you in 2011?

In 200 years this will be the most important event of 2011. And it wont even be close.

Who cares about that, I want to know about the black hole they
created and are obviously covering up. How long do we have?
There's no such thing as luck, only drunken invincibility. Make it happen.

    Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday
    Today is Friday, Friday (Partyin’)

    Tomorrow is Saturday

I think you'll have to adjust your date by a few years. As I understand it, they haven't actually found anything quite yet.

Yeah, cool until it devours the earth and kills us all. Real cool.

2012/2013 will just be even bigger.

Yes, and all we got was that POS international space station that someday is going to fall out of the sky and maybe kill us instead.

I'm planning on it falling on my house, as nothing costly has happened for about 4 or 5 years now. I'm due something bad.

That is overstated a bit. No actual discovery was made or announced. They saw some spikes in the 125 GeV range that could indicate that HB, but any announcement of a discovery will have to wait until at least next year.

Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

How does it stay up? The world may never know.

I know it wasn't a 5 sigma event. But what just happened was huge. And unless a live Bigfoot is caught in next two weeks, this will be the event for 2011.
What are you saying happened in 2011 that is more significant than this?

As much as I hate to admit this as a Scientist, the Arab Spring could be pretty dang significant similar to the fall of the iron curtain.

                            Short term, perhaps.
But we'll see if it sticks.

This is a huge step in the understanding of how the universe works.
