  • Bank of America decides to not go with the $5 debit card fees...

I guess this is an example of a free market at work, eh? Customers threaten to leave so the bank realizes it better accommodate the customers' demands.

Clark Addison, you're at BoA, no? Your thoughts?

My thoughts? Thanks for tanking our stock price, Jerks. I think it is a pretty small sacrifice for you all to make to pay $5 a month so I could finally make some decent money on these stock options.

Now knowing that you would have benefited financially from the fee, I wouldn't have objected too much if I was a customer of BoA. Hopefully that makes you feel a wee bit better.

Would it be okay to simply mail you a check for my portion of your loss? I feel really bad.

Too late, B of A. We began the process a couple weeks ago of closing out our accounts and operating solely from our credit union accounts. I was a customer for 20 years and they've chased me away over this.

            So, it's Tim's fault.

I wonder how many times people have uttered those words.

I think they found out what Netflix found out: in this economy customer loyalty is non-existent.

They didn't do a great job of communicating it -- so many wouldn't have to pay to the fee because of the amount of business they have with the bank already. While we're at it, I'm tired of these freeloaders, er, protesters, shouting about how they want a bailout. Do you want a "bailout"? You want to pay back a loan fully in 14 months with 10% in fees? I'm sure there are a lot of people who would loan at those terms right now.

As for the debit card fee, etc, my signature expresses my feelings.
I have nothing else to say at this time.
