I remember a few years ago touring the LDS History museum in SLC and they have the watch on prominent display there. I remember thinking:

"Wow, that sure doesn't look like a bullet hole."

Tiny round dark thing in the watch face. Unless it was a pea shooter, a real slug would have done far more damage. This explanation makes a lot more sense.

I reiterate that I think Mitt's biggest foe is not Newt but the economy. See Apple's results? I see signs that the average joe, perhaps shut out of iphone, ipad, may have found a job after an extended period of struggling and is now playing consumption catch up.

7.9% unemployment rate by the election and Obama is back.

His biggest foe is he's Bob Dole with two good arms. Dude is wooden and people don't vote for wooden no matter their qualifications.

That sort of news only hurts Mitt. It gives Obama an excuse and negates the only real potential advantage Mitt brings to the ticket.

Anderson Cooper just had Bill Maher on his program. Maher just said "Obama will beat Romeny like a runaway sister wife.". Cooper was clearly not impressed.
