Do you know if he's still an active fencer?

I think he is coaching his daughter now and taking her to national competitions.

Chris Herrod is one of the good guys. Wonderful person. The Herrod's are some of the best people I've ever known. I really miss Kim...one of the greatest tragedies I've experienced in my life and of even more impact for a family member who was like a brother to Kim.

Kim was the QB of our intramural flag football team at BYU. I was a few years younger and I've known Kim since I was a newborn...I had always looked up to him, his confidence and the way he always made people around him feel more special than they probably were.

I was a reasonable receiver and had some speed in my younger years. In the driving Provo snow in 2004, with the score tied, Kim threw a perfect spiral to me in the endzone on a slant route to win the game.

Hearing say "way to go, [viking]" was one of those things that has stuck with me forever. If you knew Kim, I think you know what I mean. I can't think about Kim and his family without getting misty-eyed.

        I'm on Team Herrod.

Herrod would be my second choice after Hatch.
