Check it ladies...the Vatican Has Spoken

Apparently the pill did nothing for you. Note the subtly chauvinistic tone of the news article itself.

I think the most liberating thing for ladies in the 20th Century was the right to vote. I'm sure I'll be wrong because I don't get to vote on this, and all that. So, CUFFETTES, what is the most liberating thing to yall?

    The disposable diaper?
    The tampon?
The other thing that a man would think would be liberating?

    Do yall feel liberated?
Do you know what a glass ceiling is?

Typed words can't convey tone.....I promise by Huitzilopochtli's ball of feathers that I'm not being sarcastic.

Off the top of my head,

Equal Employment Opportunity (I can't imagine having to choose between nurse, teacher or secretary),
    vote, and
it's a tossup between the tampon and washing machine for me for third place.

Yes, I'm familiar with the glass ceiling term. I challenge you to find a professional women who is not.

My wife once got forwarded an email by accident from her boss at a market research company in Orem telling the VP to hire two guys with B.A.s in English from BYU at $32k. She had been hired a year before with an M.S. in Sociology (Market Research) at $25k. She stewed for two days and then marched into his office and demanded to know "what gives?"

He realized he was in deep, plus she was very valuable. She got an immediate raise to $42k. He even gave her a severance check when she quit so we could move to Tulane. Without that email proof, nothing would've happened, probably.

The glass ceiling exists; no doubt in my mind.

Oh c'mon it wasn't that bad. You could have also been a homemaker. Or a showgirl. Or a prostitute.
